  Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show  

The festival is a showcase for turn-of-the-century arts and crafts. This year almost 70 exhibitors and vendors will feature crafts and skills like candle making, woodturning, lye soap making, knife making and quilting. Herbalists will share their knowledge, instrument makers will exhibit their work, and quilters will show their best.

Get your hands dirty with a free pottery class, January 20, from 10 am to 3 pm. Attendees can learn two different pot-making techniques—pinching and coiling. Each method is thousands of years old and has been used by cultures throughout the world. Families can drop in and drop out of the workshop any time. Fun with Clay is sponsored by the McCurtain County Art Club. Artists of all ages and skill levels of welcome.
